Re: Richard Dawkins: Why Coincidences Are Meaningless
Being a man of science I pretty much agree with anything I see of Dawkins, however this whole video all I that was repeating in my head was 'A psychic would predict or see, not will the coin into a state' a very poor concept to illustrate the phenomenon of 'chance'.

It's the only way to guarantee that you're left with one person standing. Otherwise, when you get near the end, there's a good chance that the last few people will all make the same prediction, and get it wrong. It would spoil the demonstration.

Well, demonstrating the wrong thing spoils the demonstration.
If anyone is surprised that the probability of chosing a person by chosing a person is 1, this demonstration had its use. I doubt it.

Re: Richard Dawkins: Why Coincidences Are Meaningless
The demonstration was meant to show that one person could appear to have remarkable success at willing a certain outcome, when it is really just a coincidence. Dawkins never said it was about making predictions. That was what the first comment here said, and it's a very limited view of the kinds of claims that psychics make.
