Re: David Blaine: Melting Quarter
HOW ITS DONE:
Ask for a quarter, palm it for your trick quarter, the trick quarter has a cigarette shaped, spring loaded trapdoor in it. force the cigarette through the trap door. tada!
there are only three kinds of trick,
1) mechanical (e.g. trapdoors in coins etc.)
2) slight of hand (hidding, moving, using or recovering somthing in such a way as to hide your actions from your audiance)
3) camera trick.
David Blaine uses all three

Re: David Blaine: Melting Quarter
Oh, of course it's a simple trick. But I was actually more amused by the participants and their reaction.
BTW, how many kids did you tell that there is no Santa Claus today? ;-)
