Bat-pod to me represents everything Nolan got wrong about Batman. The Dark Knight should be stealthy and nimble, not like a bulldozer. The thing can't even turn for gods sake. Still pretty cool though.

Stealthy? It was stored as part of another vehicle!
Nimble? It outmaneuvers and evades more than the Tumbler (the wall-smashing, roof-jumping, explosive-firing humvee) ever did!
