Why can't you remain the beta online then...? I want to check it. And you would make more people happy with that than just me...

Probably because it's Phosphor Alpha all over again (meaning, the developer didn't expect their game to get as many hits, and is surprised that it's popular). Also, they're suprised of the high bandwidth usage.
The only solution is if M&C or another website (probably with no ads) hosts the *.dcr files.
