Holy crap! That blew every act from "Fool us" out of the water and it kept going and going.
Now that I think of it, shouldn't that show be called "Trick us"? That'd be clever.

The actual card manipulation is simple, but it requires a constant knowledge as to where every card is going to be for over 4 minutes. Very nice.

I was going to suggest that it's not really all that simple. But the truth is, most of his manipulation is simply cutting the deck again and again. The order remains the same when doing so. Now, if he has shaved the edge of one card, he knows where the other 51 are.

While a lot of false shuffling keeps the card or cards you want on the top, it looks to me like he's keeping the cards he wants on the bottom. Even still, that's about 10 different cards that he keeps in an order he remembers.

Funny thing: I love that song and have listened to it (at least I thought I have) over 3 hundred times. yet, somehow, I never knew he was talking about cards.

My grandmother used to do stories with cards. Just like this, but without the music, just story telling. I wished I'd asked her how now.
