He's a mixed bag. The Harris you describe, I've seen and heard that one. I've also heard the 'culturalist' Harris. Those sounds aren't as intellectually stimulating. Angry words, his substitute for angry tone of voice. He's a very strong debater. People shouldn't be so easily fooled. It's not possible to go where he goes without abandoning the "purely intellectual". He ,in fact, loathes those in academia who recognize the boundaries of the rational. I know this because he loves talking about it. To come to some of his conclusions he elevates his own principles and values to a sacrosanct status. That's fine in a way, but it's not a sound basis for science.
