Re: Grandaddy: Nature Anthem
I'd wager this is what goes through the head of a child molestor when he blacks out.
In reality, however, that was great!

That was the sweetest thing I've ever seen. Hey, wait, aren't these people fetishists?

Re: Grandaddy: Nature Anthem
Technically I think not. While they are definitely anthropomorphizing animals by dressing up in consumes, I don't believe they are doing it to act out inner fantasies.
From Wikipedia - Furry:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furries
"Furry is a colloquial term used to indicate a particular category of fictional anthropomorphic animals. Put simply, a furry is a funny animal taken "seriously" for the benefit of an adult audience. Usage of the term furry is limited almost exclusively to members of furry fandom or other cultural groups aware of furry fandom; it is not widely used in mainstream circles. The term furry is also very often used to refer to a furry fan."

Re: Grandaddy: Nature Anthem
There's a few bizarre grandaddy videos, noteably "The Crystal Lake" where the band are sitting in a canoe paddling themselves around a city. I also remember something about a shed and a grizzly near the end. They did another, can't remember the track, where Grandaddy retire and a bunch of kids take their place *beards 'n all* then they are more successful than grandaddy.
Don't know where you'd be able to watch them though.
However this is just as random

Re: Grandaddy: Nature Anthem
Check your terminology. These are "furries," which aren't as disturbing as "plushies."

Re: Grandaddy: Nature Anthem
We generally stay away from both in terms of them as fetishes since the sexualization of animals goes against our policies. That being said, sexualizing an animal caricature, such as a teddy bear terms of a plushy, is less egregious that sexualizing an animal directly, such as with furries. I know that I am splitting hairs here, and both terms are subject to interpretation -- but that's why I chose plushy over furry in this description. I should probably just change it to "animal caricature". ;)

Re: Grandaddy: Nature Anthem
Most furries wouldn't view their characters as animals, but as people who happen to *look* like animals (to a varying degree). A level of intelligence roughly equivalent to human is implied.
Oh, and we have an article about this video:
