Super Troopers: Meow
Do you see me jumping all nimbly bimbly from tree to tree?

From the movie Super Troopers.

This is really well done. It could easily have fallen flat.

Re: Super Troopers: Meow
I still can't believe it when people say they haven't seen Super Troopers.

There was a point in my adolescence where Broken Lizard (the troupe behind the movie) were gods.

Re: Super Troopers: Meow
I haven't seen Super Troopers. Nor have I watched more than 1 minute of Reno 911 at a time. I think this type of comedy is an acquired taste I just never acquired a taste for. Maybe I just wasn't inebriated enough when I was watching it. Funny clip, though. :)

Re: Super Troopers: Meow
Definitely. Different strokes, different folks.

It's odd that you mentioned Reno 911, I also love that show. Mostly ad-libbed and different from the Troopers, though.

The movie's worth a watch, regardless of inebriation at the time, if only for 'the best line ever in a bad movie' (as one reviewer called it.)

Re: Super Troopers: Meow
KC, Reno 911 and all the rest of the Broken Lizard movies are not required viewing at all. But, culturally speaking, you should totally see Super Troopers. I was totally against it until a friend forced me to check it out. Totally worth it.

With your recommendation, BHG, I will endeavor to give it a try. :)

Re: Super Troopers: Meow
I wonder how many times I can type the word, "totally..." :)

And for the record, I feel the same way about Boondock Saints. I just can't force myself to see it...

Re: Super Troopers: Meow
Don't see Boondock Saints. Thinly veiled homoeroticism juxtaposed by unrepentant homophobia, rampant misogyny, self-righteous religious hypocrisy, racism, racial stereotyping, really bad dialogue, spotty story line, and Billy Connolly all make it a movie to avoid. Willem Dafoe is pretty good, though.

Re: Super Troopers: Meow
Ha! Nice, now I can continue from perfect streak of avoiding it... :) I even have a DVD of it at home that someone gave me because "they know I'll love it." So I'll see it every now and then, and it just looks like it's waiting to suck. Avoidance policy will continue. Thanks, RM!

Re: Super Troopers: Meow
Have these guys come out with anything lately? I know the last thing that they came out with was Beerfest and that was hilarious too.

Re: Super Troopers: Meow
Unfortunately, this is the best scene in the movie, so if this didn't having you rolling on the floor (wtf cam bootleg), you might be disappointed. (Still a good watch - and 4 stars for nostalgia)

This clip should have started earlier where they explained what they would do.
