Nice tale:-) Cross raising animals has been done by breeders and herders for ever. My dad once found a kitten huddled on his engine block on the highway on a bitter night dying of hunger, 2 days later his dog started lactating for him, even though she hadn't had a litter. We were amazed to say the least.
