Re: Bush Finger
He actually done it when a reporter asked "what are you going to do to America when in power?" - FUCK IT UP!
Re: Bush Finger

Re: Bush Finger
Hardly. The man could rape a woman on live television and the republicans in this country would still back the jackass.

Re: Bush Finger
Michael Moore isnt running for election, or re-election. It doesnt matter what he does.
Re: Bush Finger
Thats bull. it does matter what he does whenever people follow him around like a lemming. That influences millions of gullable wanna-be political teenagers to take sides to the liberal democratics because its the "cool thing" to do.

Re: Bush Finger
Isn't warmongering cool? FOXNews (and other cable and network news channels) made the Iraq War look awesome during the days surrounding the start.
There is nothing cool about drikin' the Kool-Aid, no matter what side you are on. Some 18 year old who votes for Kerry just because that's what his or her parents do is just as dumb as another kid who is voting for Bush for a similar reason.

Re: Bush Finger
it couldn't possibly be because its the right thing to do.
Liberals don't hate america. They just have little patience for those who can't care about all of America equally.

I believe that the "one-fingered victory salute" occurred in 1998, near the end of Dubya's tenure as the Governor of Texas. He's aiming the salute at Karen Hughes (Dubya's former campaign advisor and communications director), whose voice you can hear in the background.
As for whether Bush is screwed or not... although this video clip is a few years old, it still gives us some insight into Dubya's mentality (i.e. somewhat immature, a typical "good 'ol boy", etc.). Some people have asked whether this is the sort of on-camera/public behaviour that we should expect from the leader of one of the most powerful nations in the world. Personally, I think it's unacceptable for the reason stated. However, certain others will probably disregard it. For example, anyone who was already going to vote for him will just brush it off as playfulness (i.e. "Oh that George, he's such a lovable rascal, isn't he?"). Meanwhile, Kerry supporters can make hay of it, and perhaps sway a few undecided voters over to their side by painting Dubya's behaviour as unsuitable for a position as powerful and influential as POTUS.
Hey, by the way, greetings to a fellow Canuck. :-)

Re: Bush Finger
God, am I the only one who cant wait for the bush/kerry headlines to stop?
Re: Bush Finger
There will be plenty of Bush headlines in the improbable event that he wins, as there have been before the election season.
Re: Bush Finger
Thank you for saying what a lot of us are thinking.
As soon as elections are over, radio, television, and the internet will be back to fart jokes and gratuitous sex, instead of lauding over people who will do and say anything to get elected.
Sure, there will still be political stuff, no matter who is elected... but about 95% less of it.

What an idiotic moron! Reminds me of something my 12 year nephew would do when mommy isn't watching.

Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute
I have used the finger before, so what? then again I am not the president:P
Although, if I did it years before I was president I wouldn't see it as a big deal. Everyone has done it in their life, so what? It's like Clinton getting a blowjob.
Middlefingers, swearing, and having sex don't effect national or world affairs. Policies like war for example do. So if you are going to judge a President do us all a favor and judge him on the things that matter. Don't be another dumb American that votes for a President because he comes from a famous family, is attractive, speaks clearly, etc etc whatever. There are already too many voters like that.

Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute
I agree %100 with this. Don't judge ye lest ye be judged yourself. It dosen't matter if he's rich or working class. Vote for the views of the person you agree with not the actions of the person.

Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute
Actions reflect opinions and views and while I do quite agree with the 'don't judge' mantra, we must consider and judge very closely on who's going to lead probably the most powerful nation on Earth at the moment. I'll admit that it's very unsure what the action in question here is being directed at and shouldn't sway decisions.

Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute
First he didn't do when asked what he'll do for america. Second I have even more respect for him now that I see he's just like any one of us. We have all done the same thing at least once in our lives. FOUR MORE IN 2g4, GO BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute
Why would you want an Average Joe running the country?
Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute

Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute
This doesn't really impact how I think of Bush. Everyone likes to have fun at some point in their life, who cares? Just kind of silly, that's all. ;)

i was referring to the people that take this too seriously... like the guy below me. hopefully he is just being sarcastic :-p

Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute
Today is a happy day for me. Now all the sap sucking pablum puking liberals can be silenced once and for all. The country has spoken. We would rather have a man that we relate to as president, than one who thinks he's a superior. If Kerry got on a plane in New Jersey Airport, he wouldn't cross a state that liked him until he hit California.
By: HarryC
Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute
Mmmmnope! We won't be silenced because we won't have buffoons like your "good ol' boy" wreck this country anymore.
And I personally can't relate to the President as I am far more intelligent than he.
Also, Kerry can hop on that plane in NJ and come hang out in Illinois any day--as Illinois is first before California, depending he's heading west and not east around the world.
But other than that, you gotta admit, that bastard flipping off the camera is pretty funny.

Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute
Wow. Lots of Canadians up in here!
The video shows what you are dealing with down there. I just think the guy seems like a puppet. If he doesn't have a speech written for him, he doesn't seem to be able to form an intelligent answer.
I was really suprised he won, I thought that Americans had more respect for themselves. This guy has everyone fooled.

Exactly. He is a puppet. Other Republicans (that are a helluva lot smarter) are controlling him. He is just some pawn.

Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute
I couldn't agree more. This is about as bad as nipple-gate. An uproar over nothing.
And please keep in mind that I hate the people that this boob put into power.

Re: Bush's One-Fingered Victory Salute
It's exactly the opposite of what Bush claims to believe in, and should be noted. Our president claims to think highly of God, but acts like this suggest he is more reckless than any level-headed athiest.
Did Clinton ever say he didn't support blowjobs? Not that I've heard.
