Before Arrested Development and Mr Show, David Cross was a stand-up comic. He still is and as an atheist, he tends to talk about how ridiculous religion can be in his act. In this interview with ABC news, he explains to Dan Harris why he uses humor about god in his stand-up and when he finally realized that he didn’t believe in god.

I used to make bets with god. I remember I would for instance be on the toilet and bet 1 million happiness points that I would release the load in less that 5 seconds (I had a theory that everyone has an equal amount of happiness and sadness to look forward to). He never declined a bet and never paid his debt to me. :(
