Rodney Dangerfield, the bug-eyed comic whose self-deprecating one-liners brought him stardom in clubs, television and movies and made his lament "I don't get no respect" a catchphrase, died Tuesday October 5th, 2004.

He was 82.

For a so-called loser he got himself a lovely young wife for his later years. Wealth and personality are a sexy mix.

Truly one of the greats, I don't think he ever truly got the respect he deserved. I think of so many of his one-liners, they are all classics.

Man, I've been bummed about Rodney and Christopher all day. Rodney was one of the greatest.
