Re: Keeping America Scared
This is pathetic. With the same style of editing, I could make anyones grandma look like this too. Hell, Michael Moore has made a career out of editing "interviews" into completely out-of-context clips and then calling them fact. All the late-night talk shows do this too, for comedic purposes, but no one takes them seriously because only a freakin idiot would do otherwise.

Re: Keeping America Scared
Did speakers at the DNC use that kind of language in all of their speeches?

Re: Keeping America Scared
Yes, they did. If their speeches were edited in this same way, they'd look just as bad.

Re: Keeping America Scared
What's funny is the term "freakin' idiot". You know why?

Because this is precisely the mode of offense the bush campaign uses to attack Kerry in their ads.

Check factcheck.org sometime (even Cheney recommends it, although he mistakenly called it factcheck.com during the debate). You'll see just how much the Bush machine distorts the truth through shameless, manipulative editing in commercials.

Re: Keeping America Scared
I think the point of it is not so much to edit it so that it becomes out-of-context, but it's more of poking fun at how many times they used these words over and over again.

I will be so glad when the elections are over.

Re: Keeping America Scared
Yeah I'll be happy when bush gets re-elected and everyone can finally shut the hell up about kerry. Then maybe he'll show up to his job in the senate.

Re: Keeping America Scared
has the word "Satire" been taken out of the Bush supporters dictionary or something??? or how about the phrase "you look stupid arguing against a satirical piece"... and what about "the rest of the world thinks you're stupid anyway"

Re: Keeping America Scared
the problem our country is that people watch propaganda or MTV or listen to somone elses view than take it on as their own. on both sides i hear some of the stupid's arguments. this has gotta be the worst election i have ever seen. no real issues are at the forefront, it's mainly mudslinging. thanks to effective marketing people's minds are under control. not too many people are really looking past ridiculousness of the election. entertainment should never affect your political view.

Re: Keeping America Scared
Yeah, that's what Kerry would do to everyone if he was elected.
