This was a good find - I've never seen the footage. I was never a big fan of the S&M orchestration, but the live experience looks like a whole different can of worms. The swirl of the instrumental motion in the background looks very cool.

I sure do feel sorry for the xylophone guy - he was playing his heart out and you can't even hear him.

I wonder how long it will be before some other composer does the full orchestration without the guitars. On this song, it'd be a whole different feel to have a harp doing the opening and a badass solo violinist doing the lead guitar solos.

That was kinda funny.. the people in the audience were getting mixed messages.. The face melting solos come on and some people started to headbang wanting to get up and start a pit, but then sees the orchestra behind the band and remembers that this was a formal, more sophisticated type kind of concert they got stuck in.
