Re: Commercial Mega-Mix / 1955-85
Pretty cool, but I kept waiting for the Godfather to say "Doo it".
Re: Commercial Mega-Mix / 1955-85
I loved Bartles and James at the end. I remember all of these commercials, unfortunately.
Re: Commercial Mega-Mix / 1955-85
I'm not from the US, so I don't recognise many of those, but I do finally get that joke in Wayne's World: 'pardon me, do you have any Gray Poupon?'.

2 things I noticed.
1) I watched wayyyy too much TV as a kid.
2) I never understood what was so great about the guy who could speak a million miles an hour...so what?

Re: Commercial Mega-Mix / 1955-85
The words whizzed by a little fast but I recognized most of the ads - classics of American culture. Often better than the shows they sponsored. There's a million more that were omitted. "I'd fly to the moon for a Lorna Doon." I guess that one dates me. And yes, I can remember when every housewife dreaded with horror the finger-pointing refrain of failed femininity: "Ring around the collar! RING AROUND THE COLLAR!!"
