Tangent warning: Four point shoulder harnesses are far superior and would cost a modicum additional for auto manufacturers to produce.

yes, but I'd imagine four point harnesses are more cumbersome and less likely to be used which would negate the additional safety.

That was really a great little gem. It was a little maudlin for my taste, but it still was cleverly done.
