Stuff like this should be all over the news. Really disgusting.. I love the Colbert Report, but sometimes I wonder how far you can go with comedy before it crosses over from being part social commentary into just laughing at the absurdity of it all (scratching the itch). Guess I'm not American (=desensitized) enough, or something.

I've lived in Salt Lake since I was a baby, and I know spam's message to be true...
The church was allowed the rights to buy that stretch of main st. due to our lovely elected officials that allowed them to buy it....oh, and by the way, they got a SCREEEAMIN' deal on it...something like 1% of it's true worth, if I remember correctly.

Obviously not. Remember the "Better Know Your Congressman" segment? With 435 morons to choose from, at least a few made their way onto the show and likely didn't get a lot of applause from their constituency for it.
