Awesome.
That's my favorite album. Am I the only one? Not my favorite Bowie incarnation, but my favorite album.
I know what I'm listening to on my three hour Sunday drive.
Thanks Spam.

Yup BB, Ziggy Stardust is amongst my favorites. In addition to the old vinyl that I own, I have a pirated MP3 of what must be an import because it finishes up with three acoustic performances that shouldn't be missed.

I had that on an old ass tape! I bought it in Bozeman, Montana, in a gas station of all places, where I also bought "Al Green Is Blues," which has a fantastic cover of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand."
Shit, that brings back memories.
Nineteen years old, backpacking. I cooked a rattlesnake. It was headless, gutless, skinless, five feet long, and had been dead for at least a half hour, and it was still trying to crawl off the grill for at least five minutes.
The sky was bigger there. I saw leeches. And marmots--they're bigger than I thought they would be, bigger than beavers. And bears, too. And a red weasel while I was taking a shit in a hole one day.
A moose looks like a cross between an elk and a spider. Seeing a dead bear fucked me up.
I saw ghosts, too. Of course, I wasn't eating for two days and I was all by myself in the woods right then.
Montana was gorgeous.
Freakout in a moonage daydream, oh yeah...

That's a beautiful post. Next time you'll pass through, I will put out another dead bear for ya. Never judge on first sight. It's like with cigarettes: the first one tastes bad, but the others are all better, one after the other (or so I have heard). Or, it's like with sex for the ladies. First time is like "That was it? (not when I am involved, naturally)" and it might also hurt like hell, but the other times you get the hang of it and before you know it there you are walking the streets flashing your skinny thighs to passing BMWs (or so I have heard).

Agreed. One of my favorite albums of all time, and Mick Ronson is a guitar wizard.

I'm an alligator, I'm a mama-papa coming for you.
I'm the space invader, I'll be a rock 'n' rollin' bitch for you...
*Was music ever really this good?*
I'm still busting up my brains for the words...
