To many westerners, Asia has more than its share of suspicious-looking foods. But it's a good bet there's nothing as popular while at the same time utterly shocking to outsiders as "balut." Could you eat the fetus of a duckjust days from hatching?

What a person perceives as tasty and good is tasty and good. At least these poor animals don't suffer a short and terrible life in a factory farm before being consumed. Hopefully none of these ducks are Catholic.
