Another bit of exposure of the NeoCon politics that Hitchens espouses. But a fascinating watch.

Re: Christopher Hitchens: Obama's Nobel Prize
About Reagan : "...he's a man of the right, they'll never give the award to a man of the right.". That's what the interviewer said. So Kissinger wasn't a man of the right? I'm sure that Matthews is an intelligent, informed man, so how smart do you have to be to not blurt out moronic nonsense? A more correct response might have been to point out that Raegan didn't really contribute to a more peaceful world or that his involvement is at least debatable, instead of implicitly validating the simplism of the republican myth. He was mostly just there at the right place, at the right time imo. Not to mention the dirty games he was playing in Central America. Something Hitchens might want to inform himself about aswell btw. Not that he's ever interested in things that don't work to strengthen his world view.

Re: Christopher Hitchens: Obama's Nobel Prize
Good news, folks: I have just been awarded the world's most prestigious prize for excellence in shepherding, the famous Whistle and I'll Herd Your Flock Prize. Ain't that grand?
The Ministry of Truth will have to work overtime for years on end after Obama launches WWIII.
By 2060, Sweden never existed, and negroes (called Marniggers in those days) didn't populate Earth prior to 2015. Also, the US of North America elects (actually a chosen child of twelve years old does the electing) a president each ten years. The electing thing is actually fascinatingly democratic. Listen up ... All fathers of the USNA bake cookies for all the world leaders who have a seat in the UN, and these world leaders (blindfolded) then munch and munch for a whole day, after which (in the dark of night) they call the chosen child. A secret blessing takes place and when the chosen child's (always a virgin girl) belly starts to swell (which can take a few months and multiple secret blessings), the world leaders present their favorite cookie to the world. That's of course all done after careful democratic talks behind glass doors and lush vegetation that symbolizes life.
I have digressed.

Re: Christopher Hitchens: Obama's Nobel Prize
By the way, the proud baker of the winning cookie is then called and blessed (in sort of similar proceedings) at the UN's HQ. This will lead to a eureka moment for that proud cookie baker -- and (some say through some heavenly intervention) he names the new president.
I'll hereby also want to make clear that all world leaders are chosen in this way, and that the baking of cookies and producing of virgin girls is considered patriotic by all participants. Dissenters are dismembered in public or thrown into the lions' den in the heart of Rome. In ages beyond, this period of time I here describe is called the Great Nostalgic Age of Enlightenment.

Re: Christopher Hitchens: Obama's Nobel Prize
I wish Chris Matthews would have shut up for two seconds and let Hitchens answer the questions were being asked of him. That shouting over and cutting away from the guest, shit is no better than what O'Reilly does.

Re: Christopher Hitchens: Obama's Nobel Prize
Gerry, you and I are very much in agreement here. Matthews is unappealing in his delivery but he really does know his DC stuff.
The funniest comments I read in forums is about how leftist he is. Christ on a Triscuit! Just go back to excerpts from his show in the 90's and the Clinton years. He was very critical of that administration. Was he more so of Bush 43? Let me see. Blowjob. Lie. Sperm on blue dress died. Iraq. WMD. Lie. Now over 5900 "coalition" troops and civilian personnel deaths.
