October 9, 2009 on Fox News.

O'Reilly once again loses his temper on The Factor and makes absurd arguments when cornered.

Vote! You pile of bones ;-) There's one vote on the link as yet, and that one is mine, while you were here earlier. Must be bats roosting in your skull.

This O'Reilly is one of many ghastly symptoms of America rotting away.

Oh, Billo? 'And spoke with Mr. Dawkins a few days ago?' I see. Editing can be a bitch, eh?

(Then again, maybe this O'Reilly Factor is a weekly deformity on America's TV screens. Who knows? Who even cares? I sure as hell didn't take the five seconds (or less) it would take to Google it. Hell no! ..... What! Five days a week! Oh, me and my eternal quest for truth! Oh, the world is doomed! Doomed! Doomed! Five days a week!)

By the way, is Dawkins hanging out at the set of Blade Runner?

He's hovering a hundred meters above the Lusty Lady Theatre.

Yup, Sodom, here with all the other "Elites." This is how we rock it on the Left Coast, with Science.

Flame Towers? Do you mean Gomorrah? Turn to the East, where the sun rises. That's where it was American enough for Al Qaeda, so it should be American enough for you (I'm looking at you, GOP).

Ahem. Excuse me.

I think Bill managed to keep it together in this one. His temper just happens to be a bit hotter than others.

I cannot wait until our species does away with religion completely! It's evil and requires it's members to be non-thinking sheep.

You cannot rationally argue with someone who has faith as faith can only exist without rational thought or evidence. I don't know how Dawkins does it without going insane.

More power to you Prof. Dawkins! Keep up the good fight and don't let them drive you bonkers.

Re: Richard Dawkins on O'Reilly 10/9/2009
Religion isn't evil, because evil doesn't denote anything real.

Evil is a religious word indicating that the thing you're referring to is nothing but 'badness'.. an sort of magical absolute.

Absolutes don't exist in the moral realm. Only continuums.

Language is a tool used to define reality, to shape reality.

If you really want a world without religion then it might be wise to stop using the words of religious fanatics.

Re: Richard Dawkins on O'Reilly 10/9/2009
ugh such a self reinforcing argument o'reilly puts forward. one argument i keep hearing is that science teaches that life originated from nothing. something from nothing. i always thought that was what was taught in church. that god created everything from nothing. i was under the impression that life originated from the destruction of stars, and its spewing of materials through space. then over time the right conditions arise, amino acids come together, forming proteins, and very simple single cell organisms. the ego of some people who want to be godlike, rather than human is astonishing

Don't you love how they don't know the difference between evolution and abiogenesis, either? Infuriating.

Re: Richard Dawkins on O'Reilly 10/9/2009
My favorite is how he wants science to explain absolutely everything before he can consider anything it has to say. If science could eventually understand everything, it'd be all done and would have to stop.

It makes one concur with the facepalm at 4:53

Re: Richard Dawkins on O'Reilly 10/9/2009
Two nice little nuggets that I appreciated:

1. O'Reilly claiming that if everyone accepted Jesus Christ then we would all live in peace and harmony

2. The ending statement of O'Reilly apologizing for 'talking loud' by stating "...but you know how irish guys can get."

Yes, I'm sure he does know how Irish guys can get, such as when they violently fight one another and divide their country just because they each believe in a different form of christianity, sure is a great example of brotherly love united by Jesus right there.
