The day that Glenn Beck will step into a dress and sit down at the Pope's right testicle can't be far off now.

They should have the "If you have children in the room..." warning before all of Mr. Beck's shows.

Glenn is the king of the concern trolls.

Yeah lets hear the stats on how many of those involved in the attacks were religious.

Ah, the first thing I thought about when I saw the title was Paul, when he held the people's coats so they could stone the Christians, before he had converted, before he was so smitten with the lord that he fell off of his horse. That's the most cold-blooded thing I think of when I think of death in the Bible. "Want to stone some Christians? Here, let me hold your coat. So you don't get it sweaty."

I'm not going to say that the Christians' book is the only one with rape, pillage, war, murder, or other fucked up shit in it. Every religion has hella slaughter in it. Old Testament's got it, and that came from the Jews. New Testament has some cold shit in it, too, and a lot of fucked up shit is still done in the name of both. Koran, yup. The Hindus and Muslims don't get along in a lot of places in the world, and blood is shed. And yes, Atheists will kill people, too, and sometimes they'll do it reasonably.

I fail to see how bringing anyone's God into anything is going to make people get along. I don't see a lot of evidence. I hear people say religion will free us, and atheism will.

How about minding your business about other people's beliefs and taking care of living conditions? What about the practice of principles? Oh yeah: That Shit is Hard!

Glenn Beck and Fox News people never point out that at quite a few of the places where these little kids have pictures of Obama and get really excited about him (Harlem Children's Zone is one, where a friend of mine is a preschool teacher), they're overwhelmingly Black, too. It's a separate issue. They aren't worshiping him, it's just a really good time in child development to see a successful role model who LOOKS LIKE THEM.

Why? In the year 2010, most of the Black men between the ages of 25-40 in this country will be in prison. In my neighborhood, there are very few grown Black men, and just a few more Latino men over the age of 30. Why? Where are they? Locked up or dead, man. It's just boys here. So either stop getting pissed off when they idolize rap stars, or step off when they sing about the president. You can't have it both ways, because they're not going to sing about your hateful ass. You fucking look and act like Biff Tannen, you swollen fuck.

If you don't feel like watching Beck's reasonably convincing performance, here's the summary.

1. Someone was beaten to death in Chicago and the murder weapons were railroad ties from a model railroad that uses 2x4 lumber.

2. The footage is horrifying. Avert your eyes each time we run it.

3. Somebody on the scene was calling for an ambulance instead of crying or praying.

4. People who document beatings are ungodly. People who publish sweet video clips on YouTube are ungodly. But if those sweet video clips are published by Fox News and then on YouTube, they are ungodly copyright infringers.

5. That guy was probably murdered because of the First Amendment's separation of church and state. Avert your eyes again.

6. Atheism is on the rise in America, not because it's on the rise everywhere in the world, but because Christianity is sometimes not legally allowed to be promoted using tax money. Churches don't pay taxes, but taxes should pay churches.

7. We "found" some footage of non-white kids singing about how they like the president. A few years back, we "found" some white ones singing similar songs, but it wasn't quite as shocking back then.

8. The tune of "Jesus Loves Me" is not what all those insipid street lunatics have been serenading you with all your life. It's even worse than you remember.

9. The United States is wealthier than other nations, not because of centuries of free land and free labor, not because of two world wars flattening Europe, and not because of its military domination of the world's petroleum, but because its Declaration of Independence obliquely mentions a creator, which totally trumps the First Amendment, dude.

10. God hates social justice. So does Jesus.

11. That kid was probably killed by rampaging hordes of atheists. Those kids they did it in front of were probably atheists too. Atheism's on the rise, you know. The kid who was murdered was probably the only non-non-theist for miles.

12. The Battle Hymn of the Republic is a song about how Christ and God are warmongers. Cool.

13. Let's have unfunded wars of liberation, if we must, just not kill each-other or anything like that.
