Jenny Slate drops F-bomb on SNL
Jenny Slate drops an F-bomb in the middle of a live skit. Slate puffed her cheeks and puckered her lips in horror after the slip, but co-star Kristen Wiig didn't miss a beat.

Heh, unfortunate mistake to make first night on the job. Funny moment of realisation.

Nothing should come from it, least more people may know her name after this.

The other time someone said "fuck" on SNL, he got fired for it.

The F bomb seemed to fit the part she was playing. Some how I don't feel it was "out of place" in that skit

Who gives a fuck?

Ok maybe that was lame, but honestly, are we that fragile that the simple use of the word can be offensive, or is it a matter of context? I don't think this was a very explicit use, so I sincerely hope that this will be overlooked.

Even if it wasn't I would have no objection to it, though I know there are those out there that would wish to shelter or be sheltered, and unfortunately we must for the time being respect the wishes of our fellow humans when it comes to decency.

PS - Sad that this was the most memorable moment from the episode.

To add to this:

The show starts at 11:30 PM on a Saturday Night. This show isn't for children, and I don't think anyone watching the show in it's entire 30 plus year history has mistaken it for a children's program. The cursing was not only appropriate considering the skit, it would be welcome if it was more generally acceptable in the future, as I feel it would ad a much more "genuine" feeling to the skits as well.

A Tangent: Hopefully considering this new administrations aspirations to strive for hope and change, especially when considering the FCC, we can have sensible policies on things like someone using fuck or shit on an adult television program.

Since June 2006, the fines for this can be hundreds of thousands of dollars. And that could even be per station, not per network. Letting the wrong word slip out is a really big deal in the U.S. these days.

Bush signed the legislation saying, "I believe that government has a responsibility to help strengthen families." Unfortunately, he wasn't talking about curtailing military recruiting in schools or anything quite so drastic.

They sure dammed up that non-cable, non-Internet, non-theatrical, non-print river of youth-corrupting filth.

Sucks to live in a theocracy.

That didn't sound out of place at all. I hear people talk all the time.

Re: Jenny Slate drops F-bomb on SNL
charles rocket was probably going to get fired anyway like most of the rest of the cast(i think only eddie murphy and the mighty piscopo survived). and i checked it out and he did apparently kill himself 20 some-odd years after the fact. his snl persona(in a cast that included a pre-squinting gilbert gottfried) was a sad attempt at being the next chevy chase but i thought he was pretty good as the douchebag boyfriend in earth girls are easy.

Holy crap!!! Not the F-bomb!!! This is where it all starts, next thing you know she will be seen swatting a fly on live tv!!!

She should spend less time destroying the morals of American kids and more time reporting terrorists so they can be shipped off to torture camps. Where is her priorities? The things people get away with these days. I hope she is fired soon.

Unquestionably, almost everyone has an aversion to today's rampant use of foul language. Despite Jenny Slate’s widely publicized foul-mouthed flub on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, new cast member Jenny Slate isn't going anywhere. There were rumors of Jenny Slate fired flying around since the Jenny Slate f bomb incident, but they're bunk. Anyone who has a respect for their own intellect wouldn't be concerned by it. It wasn't the first time someone did that on SNL – and besides, who HASN'T said it by this point? The East Coast heard it uncensored, and the word, in NYC, is actually used as a comma. Anyone who thought of putting payday loans into a get <a href="http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2009/09/28/jenny-slate-fired/ ">Jenny Slate fired</a> campaign needs a life.

Way to go contradict yourself in one sentence. It's use wouldn't be "rampant" if "almost everyone" had an "aversion" to it.

Next time I'd appreciate it if you didn't attribute your superstitions to everybody else.
