Traditional Japanese Singing - Montage
The following video is a photo montage of photos taken at Geibikei, a river gorge in southern Iwate Prefecture in northern Japan where you can take a flatbottom boat out on the river piloted by a singing boatsmen.

The photos are from my recent trip and a trip from a couple years earlier.

The music is from the boat captain singing traditional Japanese songs of Iwate as he poles along the river. You can hear the sound of the pole dipping into the water and striking the sifty soil below. Unfortunately, you can also hear a couple of people yakking.
