Not Working?
According to Penn & Teller, our nation's tax system is complex and unfair. See what happens when they hit the halls of Congress in search of a legislator willing to talk about taxes.

Re: Penn & Teller Bullshit!: Taxes
Interesting how Penn Jillette doesn't point out how much lobbyist Dick Armey (and former GOP House Speaker) adds to the cost of running government. Or that oft referred to American Enterprise Institute and how it is funded. But Charlie Rangel, Nancy Pelosi and Henry Waxman are all still faire game to him as the cause of the problem.
That all said, this was entertaing to watch. Hence, calling their TV show entertainment.

Re: Penn & Teller Bullshit!: Taxes
I gave it *****, but that was mostly because of the entertainment value. There's not much depth in this episode (except between those magnificent mounts of flesh).
I do agree with them that taxes are bullshit. Personally, I'd like the income and inflation tax to disappear most of all.

Re: Penn & Teller Bullshit!: Taxes
But how else are we supposed to fund universal health-care, or pay for government take-overs of financial institutions and car companies? Don't we need taxes to pay police to enforce laws banning trans-fat or smoking in public places? or to subsidize home loans and college loans and "cash for clunkers?"
If the government want's to engineer society for its own betterment, it has to get the money from somewhere.
