C'mon, let's be fair here. They tossed a Fox New Channel reporter for the same.
Still, I was quite amused by the topics of the upcoming sessions. I question the intelligence of making a hard right turn when the middle and independants are being turned off by this shift.

Yeah, this doesn't tell the whole story.
I saw that, too: the conference set-up put the reporters in a terrible place: within earshot of paying attendees. People couldn't hear.
People who "bothered" the reporters were ejected by security even though they paid to attend. The Fox reporters got bothered, too. The conference people apologized to MSNBC on the stage to the whole audience later.
And the conference people who were talking to the reporters were pretty damn polite, too. It wasn't about agendas (it's because it's MSNBC!), it was because they couldn't hear.
I know TPM is a "liberal" site, but they have a good breakdown of the whole mess.

To the defense of the audience, I'm not sure I'd want some newscaster jabbering at length over a public speaker I'd paid to hear either.

Having worked on large events, this appears to be a technical mistake on the part of the event director who is neither MSNBC nor FOX. He/she simply put the cameras far too close to the public.
And speaking of He/she...the last thing I'll add is that Booge is the smartest, foxiest, grooviest Moderator at M&C. Sorry, W_W. You're a close second. :)
