Glad to see this made it on to M&C. It is easily the most direct, succinct and honest rebuttal of the lunatic right I've ever seen in the media. We're too used to tip toeing around the obvious -- that this stuff is batsh*t crazy -- for fear of offending these people. The willfully ignorant need to be offended more often instead of treated with kid gloves, or they'll never accept facts over lunacy.

You and Bill Clinton share the same attitude. I don't particularly disagree but of course we all know that the Conservatives will make no effort to pull any punches.

Re: Frank Schaeffer on Rachel Maddow
He's right, but somehow he's still a christian? Suspect.

Re: Frank Schaeffer on Rachel Maddow
Because he doesn't meet your definition of christian?

Re: Frank Schaeffer on Rachel Maddow
Village idiot = American Fundamentalist Christian...

Yes!

I can't believe my friggin ears!

Notice Maddow allows for Christians to have their rights -she hesitates as she mentions the word "christian" -

Maddow is, no doubt, another Oberman, another OphraaaaH!. She is a media highlight and entertainer.

Well done, beyond medium rare, but not well done. And so...she is not breaking the mold. She fits quite nicely, as a matter of fact!

Yes!

Re: Frank Schaeffer on Rachel Maddow
How many of those asked this question chuckled at first in amazement that a legitimate media organisation would actually ask that question, and then thought to themselves, "sure, i'll say anonymously that he is the antichrist. put me down in that column. ha!" in sort of a smart-alecky way?

Probably much more than the one-third of leftists who responded that they believed the Bush administration blew up the WTC.

Re: Frank Schaeffer on Rachel Maddow
Any professional polling entity worth it's salt takes false-positives into account when calculating the margin of error for each poll.

How many? Probably a fair amount. Does that invalidate the findings? No, unless the polling group didn't have the first rudimentary clue of how to conduct their studies.

*Yawns*

Tomorrow, when I want to do a nap, I'm going to listen to this stuff again. Saves me the trouble of counting moose calves.

PS: Maddow has put her face right between her ass cheeks and is licking away. She and her polls.

Re: Frank Schaeffer on Rachel Maddow
Is it just me, or does it seem like Schaeffer is looking down and reading off a script for about half of the interview?

Re: Frank Schaeffer on Rachel Maddow
Yeah, noticed that too. I think he's probably shitty on camera (Rachel Palin?) and wanted to make sure he said what he wanted to. At least he didn't lie!

And why doesn't that person who works on Maddow's staff shut his/her fucking pager off? It seems half the time I'm watching her show that fucking beeping is happening. Jesus, you work in a TV studio. Silence the fucker! Grumble grumble...
