The recorded audio of President Barack Obama calling Kanye West a "jackass" for what he did to Taylor Swift at the MTV VMAs.
During a CNBC interview on Monday, President Obama called Kanye West a "jackass" regarding his behavior at the MTV Video Music Awards. (Watch the video of Kanye interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the VMAs here and read about his first apology.)
Obama's colorful remark was actually made in an off-the-record portion of the interview that was tweeted -- and then deleted -- by ABC News reporter Terry Moran.
"Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a 'jackass' for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential," Moran wrote.
Politico's Michael Calderone has ABC's statement apologizing for Moran's journalistic breach.

Obama: I thought that was really inappropriate. You know it was like she's getting an award -- why are you butting in? I, I hear you -- I agree with you.

Obama: The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person. She's getting her award. What's he doing up there? He's a jackass. I knew i liked him. I'm sure this will get blown all over the media and he'll have to apologize but i say good on him. The president has every right to feel like that, the rest of us do.

I don't think he'll have to apologize for this. Everyone agrees with him, and most sane people already hate Kayne and his auto-tuning cacophony.

I'm wondering why he was asked about it in the first place? It's obviously a "black" oriented question....something like this wouldn't be a question for Bush (not that he would know who Kanye was anyway) or Clinton in their presidency. Am I wrong?

I think it's more of a "kids" oriented question. I think they were talking about their daughters, and this is big news on the playground.
