I don't often comment on stuff as I post it, but Wilson's actions are way out of line in my opinion. Republicans have been carrying on about this administration's partisanship, then one of their own pulls this.

Republicans are bi-partisan on this issue about as much as they're willing to debate it. That is, not at all. They have been mortally opposed to reform from the beginning, and often the only strategy they have is to shout.
What I don't understand is why so few people are able to follow the money and see who the GOP really represents these days. If they could, they'd see why the GOP is so desperate.

Many people I've spoken with, including a few who intern in the Pentagon and the Senate, state clearly they believe the GOP is down to its most loyal core, and are completely throwing away the moderate vote.
If only they could hear such critiques amidst their caterwauling.
As for people being unable to see who the GOP represents or what they stand for, it's probably because they're being bombarded with "white noise" on all ends by these Astroturf town hall meetings.

I hope they do throw away the moderate vote. Maybe some of those moderates will come over to the democratic side or form a new party.

How is an Iraqi reporter throwing a shoe at the President of a country that invaded/liberated Iraq four years after the war started (2007) the same thing as an American representative yelling at the President during an address in the legislature on health care?
Whether you think the Iraq war is justified or not, I don't care. I don't care about your stance on health care, either. I just want to hear how those are the same incident, or how they can be likened, because I don't get it. That just seems like two really, really separate things.

All I have to say on this topic is that if decorated Viet Nam veteran and Rep. John Murtha had shouted out "You lie!" during one of Bush 43's televised addresses to joint sessions of Congress, he'd be on his way to a new permanent home underneath Gitmo the next day. The Democrats? They'll let this incident fall by the wayside.

It hasn't yet been documented, but I'm fairly certain she can kill a man with nothing but a cold stare. I think she would have shown the world her super power, but unfortunately Biden told her to chill out before she could muster the full death-glare.

No matter what the party he belongs to, a retired colonel in the National Guard should not act toward the Commander in Chief this way. Of all the asshats in congress (don't think I'm partisan on the asshat front), current and former military are the ones I expect to have some fucking restraint. Decorum is drummed into them for how long? Jesus Christ, man. If he were in uniform this would be an offense, right? The National Guard are the President's militia.
He didn't retire until 2003, so it isn't like he's been out of service forever.
