If people want to debate the CAUSE of global warming...fine. I just can't understand how people can think it is a myth. A guy I work with grew up in Alaska and just visited a week ago. He was amazed at how the glaciers he remembered have shrunken over the years.
I work with a lot of rednecks. Most rednecks are Republicans. Many Republicans hate Democrats. Most environmentalists tend to be Democrats. Therefore, many rednecks hate environmentalists....which doesn't make any sense. I don't understand how someone whose entire life revolves around the outdoors (hiking, camping, hunting, fishing) can complain about environmentalists. Yet, they do.

When I spent 2-1/2 months backpacking in Montana, I was blown away by the beauty and the way so many people get polarized over often petty parts of really big issues.
Hunters and environmentalists really need to come together in a pragmatic way. They don't have everything in common, but they have enough common goals that they can actually get some shit done if they work together. Corporations are really fucking organized, and they don't care about longevity when it comes to the land.
