Re: AWOL - Alcohol Without Liquid
I'm thinking every corner bar should have at least two.
Re: AWOL - Alcohol Without Liquid
It is a pure fallacy that it would not be caloric. Just because the ethanol is absorbed by another organ other than the stomach is no reason to assume that the calories and carbs do not enter the bloodstream. Can you imagine the long-term damage to the lungs in addition to the liver?

Re: AWOL - Alcohol Without Liquid
You said the keywords to the objections to this device..."can you imagine?". There is NO evidence this is harmful to your lungs or brain. There is just speculation. You are consuming far less alcohol to get the same level of intoxication so it just might be a healthier buzz. I don't get why people who don't approve of alcohol bother to comment. Gee, we are real surprised you don't approve.

Re: AWOL - Alcohol Without Liquid
It's an interesting device, so I gave this a good vote, but what's the point of it? It says no hangovers, but I attribute that to the low amount of alcohol it provides. Also, if I'm at a club or bar, I can take a drink around with me. But I'd look pretty stupid trying to talk to a gal with a medical tube hanging off my face.
It will get lots of novelty experimenters, but I doubt it will stick.

Plus, real men drink beer, they don't suck tubes.
Re: AWOL - Alcohol Without Liquid
I believe the Health Board of Canada is trying to get this device banned.

Re: AWOL - Alcohol Without Liquid
Legislators in both the U.S. and Canada want the device banned. There are articles about this on the 'net, e.g.:

Re: AWOL - Alcohol Without Liquid
That's just what we need, more ways to get fucked up. This has got to be one of the stupidest ideas to come forth in quite some time. It's nice to know where everyone's head is.
