Attenborough: Wild Orchid Wasp Mimic
From the BBC, RT 2:59.

Nature has evolved in the most curious of ways. This incredible plant dupes wasps into thinking they're mating, while loading them with pollen.

Re: Attenborough: Wild Orchid Wasp Mimic
I once debated a young earth creationist on this very subject re: God making orchid mimicry possible. My head hurt by the time I finished researching the phenomenon (I'd never heard of it before.)

I should have known Attenborough would have tackled the subject. Might have made the whole thing easier.

Re: Attenborough: Wild Orchid Wasp Mimic
in situations like this, it always amazes me to think that the orchid never *conciously* chose to look like a wasp, and it only came to be that way through a series of small changes over time- yet if you look at it today it seems as though the flower planned it all along.

I thought that there was something off with that woman I had sex with last night.

Also explains the yellow horns on my ass.
