My thoughts exactly!

First off, TMBG hasn't contributed anything worthwhile since Triangle Man. That was about 15 years ago give or take. The song was quirky at best and perfect for a 13 year old. Once their uncouth world of nerdom sold some records people realized that they were interesting in a train wreck kind of way. That fizzled out and they disappeared. Cut to now, these weasels, like most aging musicians realized life will never be what it once was and are now trying to grasp onto some past energy. Thus, they are just trying to use HSR as their muse to try and rekindle their flame. Its kind of like your friend's Dad who watches MTV and regurgitates that slang in attempt to be hip with the kids. I can grasp the dynamic: HSR creators are wowed by this band they loved growing up. And new found fame's excitement blinds you. TMBG contrasted with HSR is just tragic and totally debases the latter. I believe that HSR's talent and creativity far surpasses that of TMBG. They are far more relevant than the band ever was. As for the videos in and of themselves, they are funny. The puppet humor and improv is sidesplitting, but as for that background music, it could be any band. Why does it have to be TMBG? why is that even significant? It will only be time before HSR realizes that creatively speaking, this collaberation is dragging the site down. But hey, maybe I am just taking a cartoon too seriously.
