Two friends decide to do an experiment in trash. They rent an unfurnished apartment and arrive with only the clothes they are wearing and a flashlight. They decide not to buy any things for 3 months and instead to find all their needs in the trash. They furnish their apartment lavishly. They eat decadently. They dress sharp, and create beautiful art, all from the trash.

Is it me or was Bill Murray in this documentary? Sure are a lot of hippies who dumpster dive.

Re: I Love Trash
I would rather hit yard sales and thrift stores than go dumpster diving. They have to be picking up some MRSA and who knows what else doing that crap.

Re: I Love Trash
i could not take more then half of the hippies long breathed statements that all went in same direction
after a half hour i realized 2 things
hippies annoy the shet out of me
and
yes there is good garbage in the can
sadly though... i knew both of these before i even clicked play.. far from amazing

Re: I Love Trash
Well I picked up some really good wisdom for it. "Always leave it cleaner than the way you found it, even if it's not your mess" That it a great policy for sustainable community living.
For instance, I live with housemates and the despite cleaning up a lot, the place is always in a mess because one person cleans up after themselves but leaves a little mess, then the next person comes along and then doesn't feel bad about making a mess themselves because there is already crumbs on the table or something from the last person and so on and so on. Individually each person ends up doing more and more damage because the policy of cleaning up after yourself doesn't work, everybody needs to do more than that. That's just a small example, but it applies to more than just housemates, it applies globally.
There you go, such as simple idea, but it would have amazing implications if everybody was to take it on globally.
