this is spot on. i remember someone telling me about this old,old,old,movie with kiefer sutherland. that's too many olds for donald sutherland much less someone named after a dietary dairy product! people are afraid to admit that they like movies older than 1968. i like silent movies.i'm not dating myself when i talk about the greatness of the cabinet of dr. caligari. my parents weren't even born yet when it came out,and they're genuinely old. but these days everybody seems to have instant alzheimer's. people in their 30s and 40s not remembering the 70s and thinking the 80s were cool are just pathetic.

I'm 39, which means I was born in 1970, so, I wasn't really involved in what was going on in the 70's. In the 80's, well, very different story there.
