One Man Band: Boston, Foreplay/Long Time
A cover version of Boston's "Foreplay/Long Time" presented in split screen. Jon Baglo playing all the instruments. Spencer Needham doing all the bg vocals. And featuring David Steele on lead vocal.

Here's David's web site:

Note re: the drums... You're hearing take two... a continuous performance with no punch-ins or fixes. Unfortunately, I could not be there to videotape it. So Jon did ONE more take just for the video camera. Hence the discrepancies . I'd say 3 or 4 mismatches during a re-enactment of over 7.5 minutes of drumming is pretty good.

Recording engineer: Jon Baglo.

Mix engineer: Dale Baglo.

Steadicam & video editing: Dale Baglo.

Here's Jon talking about this video on the Bro Jake show:

And here's an earlier Jon's One Man Band that's worth a look:

Re: 1 Man Band Boston Cover: Foreplay/Long Tim
Every time I hear this song I reminded of time I spent Brad Delp. We would jam this in his home with some other friends of ours and with the guys he played with in Beatlejuice.

Great find, of course, I may be a bit biased due to a very personal connection.

You' mentioned the late great Delp as a neighbor and a friend. Thanks for sharing a bit more.

Excellent, but how's he going to perform live. eh, bet you didn't think of that.

Re: One Man Band: Boston, Foreplay/Long Time
Good point. My thoughts are that he was best on percussion. Second best? The keyboard wasn't exactly sloppy but he seemed robotic and without any sense of style.

All that said? I wish I were half as proficient as he is on any one instrument. I tried many and sucked at all of them.
