Not Working?
The Grand Canyon is such an icon of the Earth's geological history, of slow and steady uplift, erosion, submergence and deposition, that the creationist crowd thought it essential to tackle it head on. So they have come up with an explanation as to how it might have got there in a world created only 6,000 years ago. Their attempts to squeeze this majestic testament to natural processes into bronze age mythology are not just clumsy, they're the stuff good comedy is made of.

Is there no end to how abjectly stupid religious people will get in order to defend their ridiculous superstitious nonsense?
"My experiment proves that Noah's flood created the Grand Canyon". Wow. Really kid, go find something sharp and end it all so the rest of us dont have to listen to your crap any more.

Don't group religous people with these ignorant fanatics. They embarass everyone equally.

Re: Grand Canyon Carved by Floodwater Debunked
These people are just dumb enough to be loud about their ignorant beliefs in regards to actual giant physical objects that scientists have studied extensively.
The rest of the religious people stick to the invisible miracles that science can't fuck with yet. It's no less ignorant, just smaller scale.
At least these guys are ambitious.

Re: Grand Canyon Carved by Floodwater Debunked
There are some atheists out there who have some pretty nutty beliefs. Just look up stuff on reptoids.

Re: Grand Canyon Carved by Floodwater Debunked
I heard that reptoid deniers were all pedophiles? I heard it on the internet so of course it must be true and I challenge you to prove me wrong.

I have... no idea what that kid was trying to demonstrate. God has a giant garden hose?

Re: Grand Canyon Carved by Floodwater Debunked
it was demonstrating that God pee'd on the earth to form the grand canyon....

Re: Grand Canyon Carved by Floodwater Debunked
That is sad in so many ways. I choose to believe in God, yet these guys saying the Grand Canyon was formed via Noah's flood? This is what happens when someone takes a literal translation of the bible. Our construct for time doesn't cover God, "a day is like a thousand years and a 1000 years can be like a day for Him." Even I believe it took years and years to form the Earth! Idiots!

But that means you have to think and question your leaders and your text. What if not everything happens for a reason? Or a good one? That's what scares the shit out of some fundamentalists. Some people need to cling to things without questioning. If they don't know everything the world spins out of control.
Fundamentalist Christians don't have the monopoly on this. In my experience, here are people with all sorts of worldviews like this.
Bless my stars, I've had atheists get up in my face with all the fervor of Kent Hovind before, trying to convert me. Vegans, critical mass bicyclists, sports fanatics, people who don't believe in medication, zero population growth folks, Zionists, hipsters, republicans, democrats--anyone who is insecure about themselves and wears a label and who doesn't feel I'm sippin what their pourin, they feel the need to try and sell me some shit. Tell me what I do is bullshit or what they do is The Way. The Fervent Obama Supporters, this was a big one. I had a few run ins with people over that before the election. I just didn't believe my voting choice was a way of life.
A great many people just don't have enough faith in their own decisions about their own lifestyles to let me have mine in peace.
Wow. Ahem. Sorry, that was a Little More than a response to your post. Back to my Saturday afternoon...

I guess this means that you forgot to list grammarians in the list of people that you ignore, but we'll assume that .there. in .their. too.

Yeah, you got me. Ever since I started working with the blind, my homophone use has gone WAY out of control. I'm sure you're way smarter than me, dude.
