Wow, he 'painted' her. Is that a new word for 'digitize while tripping on red micro dot'?
I remember my Amigas. I had a 1000 w/ 20 GB hanging off the side, then a 500 and 2000 with a toaster. Man, those were the days. It may still be unsurpassed in awesomeness. Of course, Commodore lost, so there you go.

What a hack. I hate the fact that modern art (meaning since the 80s) has been about who can sell their bullshit the best. It used to be about who could paint or sculpt well.

While I will say that there are some amazingly talented digital artists out there and the art form can be every bit as difficult and demanding, I'll agree with you that it will never replace the aesthetic quality of practical artistry. There are still some artists out there that work with physical materials, but they are, sadly, no longer in the public eye as they once were. I hope we will someday see a return of appreciation for that lost tradition.
