Sometimes I swear this site is watching me. I just watched Aguirre: Wrath of God the other night. What a remarkable film! Kinski is a brilliant madman and Herzog is just as insane for working with him.

It is interesting that this is the first occasion I ever heard of where Kinski switched from his highly articulated, almost overemphasized pronunciation to a dialect spoken in Berlin. He said "aleene" instead of "alleine" (which means alone). He must have been really pissed off considering the huge effort he always put into his pronunciation.
