Yet Another Awards Show: BET Awards Air Sunday

It's hard to keep up with these, isn't it? Every couple of weeks another cable channel releases their relatively arbitrary pick of nominees for important sounding categories. Last week MuchMusic had their awards show in Canada, CMT had one the week before, the MTV Movie Awards were last month, and the Teen Choice Awards are just around the corner (August 10, 8pm EST on Fox).

I didn't even know the MuchMusic Awards existed until I heard Perez got his ass handed to 'em by a Black Eyed Peas Manager at an event after party. Let's be honest, who-wins-what on this Sunday's BET Awards doesn't really matter unless the Host (Jamie Foxx) flies through the air half naked and lands on Eminem. The Beyonce and Soulja Boy performances will delight some, but I need a crazy Tylor Swift T-Pain-style duet to really catch my attention. Instead, expect obvious jokes about auto-tune, and for Jamie to win an award for himself....
