I live in Chicago. Before bluetooth earbugs were everywhere, you could instantly spot the crazies from the obvious talking-to-no-one thing. Now, you can't pick the crazies out from the normals because every other wanker is on an earbug talking on the phone.

I used to really hate Bluetooth talkers. The only problem is that now it's illegal to drive without a Bluetooth headset here in California, so I had to join them.
I don't use it outside of the car though. That would be annoying.

Really? You can't drive without a bluetooth? Even if you don't have to talk on the damn phone when driving because the dangerous thing about cellphone conversations is that they're distracting, not that they remove the use of one of your hands?

Yes, people are too stupid to drive without one of their hands. And don't get me started on the people who text while they drive. They had to pass a law against that in here California, too, because people seemed to think that was okay. I'll bet some of them are fucking twittering about traffic. So grateful you can use their phone records against them in insurance claims if they hit you.

What I find even more annoying than talking on a bluetooth noodly appendage is NOT talking on it. People who wear one of those on their ear while they're not even using it make me want to smack them. And what's with the blinking LED on it? Are you supposed to be looking in the mirror while not talking on the telephone? Yup. Your meaningless light's still flashing for no reason?
