I know this is the Onion, but do women really see it this way? I don't think I've had a girlfriend long enough or enough girlfriends to experience such behaviour. I'm either lucky or a loser. Hmm.

Like most things, this isn't 100% accurate and is based on general stereotypes. That's why it's funny.
But I know and have seen this exact sort of thing go down with a lot of couples. Lady wants to move in, guy not so into it, lady thinks of any excuse to justify it.
