This guy was a gymnast before he started par kour. Lots of ex gymnasts start freerunning when they're done gym because competitive gymastics is so time consuming and stupid and PK is so much more amazing

I had that EXACT same feeling while watching it. It made me think of the many times he'd climb the outsides of buildings during his hay-day.

It's strange, as I was watching that it was like I was looking at a clone of one of my friends who I've known since primary school. The guy I know was pretty much built not to break, he was clumsy as a kid and always doing stupid stuff, but he'd never actually seriously hurt himself.

Just recently we came up to this ramped area out side a shop and instead of walking up it he jumped over the bar about half way up and then again on the next ramp (not unusual for him). I just shook my head at him. Then on the way back out he went to jump back down and I said "awe you're jumping from there, you pu**y!". Taking up the challenge he moved much further towards the end and jumped over and landed perfectly, adsorbing the fall. He then said "Now your turn" and I replied "I didn't say *I* was stupid*.

But this video got me thinking, I used to think parkour was mostly about technique and training, but now I'm starting to suspect that free runners are born. From now on, I'll probably still laugh at his stupid stunts, but at the same time I'll encourage him to take his natural talent a little more seriously and consider doing something with it.
