I'm interested to know if you think this is true. Snopes.com already has an article about it saying it's fake, but they offer no substantial proof.

I happen to think it's true. If anyone would want to pull off such a stunt (or could), it would be Kaufman with Zmuda as a close second. So keeping those last six words in mind... it could be a hoax. ;-)

Plus, everyone knows that everything posted on a blog is the absolute truth.
Remember the stunt some guy pulled that made people think one blogger killed another blogger over some blogger chick? It was all the same person if I remember correctly.
If that's the real Andy Kaufman, boy did he pick an asinine way of returning.

Heh. Most of his acts were pretty asinine. Aside from 'foreign man' and some of his Elvis stuff, he was more bizarre than funny.
