Wow, this brings back memories! I was thinking it would have the "Salami, salami, baloney," in it, but I didn't catch that part. Loving it! All those Saturday mornings, camped out in front of the TV for five hours or so between the PSAs and football.

I'm also stunned by how racist so many of these are. Right up there with the search for the Dodo in deepest, darkest Africa, or all the ones with the Chinese that are all banana yellow. Jesus, we've come a long way. At least in what we'll show our children.

One of my favorite cartoons ever. This is one of three excellent colour popeye cartoons made in the 30's by the Fleischers. The other two are "Popeye the Sailor Meets Sinbad the Sailor" and "Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp". Here are links to all three in the Internet Archive:
