Aww, man, it's stuck in my head. Those guitar players seemed a little afraid of him didn't they?

Re: Andy Kaufman: I Trusted You
If you were performing with the oftentimes unpredictable Kaufman, you'd be nervous also.

Re: Andy Kaufman: I Trusted You
This bit kinda reminds me of Iggy Pop.

Andy Kauffman is not funny.

Re: Andy Kaufman: I Trusted You
He's special.

You have to look at him in the context of his time. He was the original Ali G.

Re: Andy Kaufman: I Trusted You
But Ali G is actually funny. So I don't understand your point.

That's what makes it funny.

Re: Andy Kaufman: I Trusted You
You seem to have a pretty strong opinion about what is funny.

How about you submit some links and enlighten us all on what a "correct" sense of humour is?

Re: Andy Kaufman: I Trusted You
I agree we all have our tastes. But Andy Kaufman is blantantly not funny. His whole act is making fun of you because you think him acting like an idiot is funny.

Re: Andy Kaufman: I Trusted You
That wasn't my point.

Re: Andy Kaufman: I Trusted You
That's actually true. Well, at least partially. The Kaufman act was different, for certain. In some ways it was like watching a train wreck. In others it was just plain a disaster.

You not finding it funny is what makes it funny.

Re: Andy Kaufman: I Trusted You
Think of his comedy not as the crowd laughs at him, but him laughing at the crowd.

"Bet you 10 bucks I can go out there, sing 3 words for 4 minutes, and the crowd will love it."

Re: Andy Kaufman: I Trusted You
As one of the people you called a sheep I would love for you to read this. It's from the New Yorker. Starting the second paragraph down. It talks about anti-comedians and their style. It might be a bit highbrow for you but give it a shot! http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/12/22/081222fa_fact_smith?currentPage=5
