Two of my contemporary heroes, Carlin and Zappa, both expressed the same sentiment: The words aren't bad. The context within which they are used can be.

Re: Louis CK: Bad Words
But Louis didn't say much about context. He's talking about linguistic aesthetics and the moral usage of the word "nigger." To be honest, I think Louis exceeds Carlin in many aspects of comedy. For instance, Louis is honest, like Carlin, but he's more colloquial and less pretentious, so that he comes off as candid rather than judgmental. His acts also seem less staged, like stage Louis is more similar to pedestrian Louis than stage Carlin to pedestrian Carlin, so that I feel a genuine connection to an actual human being.
Or, I'm over-thinking this and being unfair. Regardless, I do prefer Louis to any other comic, and he will surely be remembered as a significant comedian and humorist who brought something more genuine and different to the stage compared to others.
