Unfortunately, the DI's sister isn't really that hot.
This movie and the military generally remind me of The Exterminating Angel. I always wonder why people don't cross the threshold and just leave. But then I've asked myself that very question...

I have never been unimpressed with this film... every scene (especially this one) will always blow me away

I feel the same way. The cinematography, the direction, the acting, the story, the "message," the score...superb, peerless.

i recently watched this on netflix streaming and the boot camp sequence is 40% of the movie. they should have made it longer
