Big surprise...the book was better. A big part of it is that it's easier to understand by the end (though it's MORE confusing through the story). There's also more to it. Philip K. Dick was pretty awesome. Read Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep and watch the movie *based on it, Bladerunner.

*fans argue interminably about how much the movie had to do with the book beyond character names, though both are exceptional.

Yeah totally agree with you. Both movies and books are must see/read. They're quite different and have a lot of difference but they are still masterpieces in their own genre. By the way, was there a movie about Ubik? I don't recall it.
