Due to a rare virus, Ian has lost his proprioception. The sense of where his limbs are in space. Doctors said that he will never walk again, but Ian was not satisfied with this answer, and decided to use his will power to take back control of his body, with success.

That was awesome. It really clicked when they showed that the part of his brain that was lighting up was the part normally seen in jugglers.
